WHO AM I
Return True is the WordPress Support/Maintenance website and blog of UK web developer Paul Robinson. I am registered as Paul Bejamin Web Development as a sole trader.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA I COLLECT AND WHY I COLLECT IT
Return True cares a lot about your privacy. This page is designed to outline what personal information is gathered and how it is used.
The WordPress platform is used to run this website. By default, WordPress does not collect any personal data about its visitors. It only collects data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. Being a registered user is not a requirement to access this website and is disabled by default.
WordPress does, however, allow the use of plugins, contact forms, comments, widgets, and third-party embeds. All of these are used on this website and, as such, may collect personal and/or technical data, such as information about cookies. This may be done by simply visiting a page or by user interaction with contact and comment forms.
When you post comments on this site I collect the data you submit via the comment form. This includes your email, your name (or nickname), and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
When using the contact form on this site, you consent to the information you provide being processed and then securely sent in the form of an email to my email address. No information is stored on my server. Once the email has been sent, the information you provided on the form is deleted.
The information required by the form include, your name and your email address. These are used solely to reply to your query or question.
WORDPRESS MAINTENANCE, CODING SERVICES & MALWARE REMOVAL REQUESTS
When using the forms for requesting WordPress Maintenance, Coding Services or Malware Removal you consent to the information you provide being processed and then securely sent in the form of an email to my email address. In this case you also consent to the information being stored securely on server. The information is stored to allow me to better provide you with the service requested and to help comply with any UK legal & tax requirements.
The information required by the form include, your name, email address, and website. Optional information that you may provide, if you wish, is your phone number, address, city, and ZIP / Postcode. The form also captures your IP address when submitted for security reasons.
If you leave a comment on our site you opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
THIRD-PARTY PLUGINS & WIDGETS
To enhance your user experience, this site uses plugins which may collect information about your visit. Below you can find a list of the third-party plugins or widgets I use, what information they collect and what they do with it.
I do not currently use any embeds or third-party plugins/widgets that capture or use personal information in any way.
HOW LONG I RETAIN YOUR DATA
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
If you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
WHERE I SEND YOUR DATA
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
To request the personal data I hold on you please email firstname.lastname@example.org and use PERSONAL DATA REQUEST or PERSONAL DATA DELETION as the subject line of your email.
You will also need to provide the email address you used when commenting if it is different from the one you use to send the personal data request.
I do not store any information in relation to purchases made via Gumroad.
HOW I PROTECT YOUR DATA
While the data collected by my website is minimal, I still care greatly about your privacy. Any personal data I do hold is stored on a secure encrypted server.
