Update

After trying to test the new version of Twitter Stream myself I have realized that it needs to be tested in the wild. I’m not happy enough to submit it as an official release to the WordPress SVN repository yet so I am looking for anyone who would be happy to test it. Sort of a beta test, if you will. Let me know either in the comments of via email if you would like to test for me as I’ll have to send you it in an email.

Sorry if this seems awkward but I really don’t want to submit this version, have everyone update only to find it breaks on them. :(

That’s right, after about a week of testing I am finally nearly ready to release version 1.9 of Twitter Stream. I have added ReTweet support as has been requested by a few people.

There is a slight caveat with ReTweet support, due to how Twitter’s API works it will require that Twitter is contacted twice. That means for every call the plugin makes with ReTweets enabled it will use 2 of your 150 API requests, this is completely unavoidable & I will place this warning on the plugins page & on the WordPress plugin repository to make sure no-one has missed it. Caching is still included and should avoid any problems with API overuse.

What Would You Like To See?

Coming up with tutorials to write here on Return True is pure guesswork, I have no idea what tutorials will be popular & tend to just write tutorials on problems that have cropped up during my normal work. However I would like to do more tutorials focused on subjects or problems that you guys & gals have come across, so if you have any ideas for tutorials you would like to see please leave a comment & I’ll see what I can do.

Oh, a quick note. Obviously the tutorials must be on a subject I have experience with. It’s no good asking me to help with ASP as I have very little experience with it. Only PHP, JS, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and WordPress please. ;)
